Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in immigration proceedings and court hearings.
- Prepare and file immigration petitions and applications.
- Provide legal counsel and guidance on immigration matters.
- Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and policies. Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure client needs are met timely.
- Conduct client consultations and assess eligibility for family-based immigration benefits and defenses to removal from the United States.
- Assist clients with Adjustment of Status, Consular Processing, U-Visa, VAWA, and other family-based immigration applications.
- Represent clients in bond hearings and removal defense cases.
- Prepare and submit applications for relief, such as Cancellation of Removal, Asylum, Withholding of Removal, and Protection under the Convention Against Torture (CAT).
- Communicate with government agencies, including USCIS, ICE, EOIR, and DOS, on behalf of clients.
- Draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents for submission to immigration courts and other adjudicating bodies.
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Arizona.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in immigration law.
- Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
