The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of immigration law, a passion for helping clients navigate complex legal processes, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload, focusing on family-based immigration and removal defense.

Responsibilities: 

  • Represent clients in immigration proceedings and court hearings. 
  • Prepare and file immigration petitions and applications. 
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance on immigration matters. 
  • Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and policies. Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure client needs are met timely. 
  • Conduct client consultations and assess eligibility for family-based immigration benefits and defenses to removal from the United States. 
  • Assist clients with Adjustment of Status, Consular Processing, U-Visa, VAWA, and other family-based immigration applications. 
  • Represent clients in bond hearings and removal defense cases. 
  • Prepare and submit applications for relief, such as Cancellation of Removal, Asylum, Withholding of Removal, and Protection under the Convention Against Torture (CAT). 
  • Communicate with government agencies, including USCIS, ICE, EOIR, and DOS, on behalf of clients. 
  • Draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents for submission to immigration courts and other adjudicating bodies. 
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy development. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 
  • Active license to practice law in Arizona. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in immigration law.
  • Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
